By The Pool Music has recently licensed part of its back catalogue to long-established UK- based Cherry Red Records. The catalogue includes the Italo-disco hit ‘Por Favor’ by Boogaloo2, ‘Tokyo Nights’ by Bandzai, and albums and singles by The Pool Sharks and The Tigers, as well as tracks by Bo Jolly featuring Malcolm "Molly" Duncan (Average White Band - Pick Up The Pieces).
"Big Expense, Small Income" by The Tigers is shortly to be released on a ska compilation by Cherry Red Records.
By The Pool Music will be releasing a limited edition electric orange vinyl album ‘Sparks Fly’ by Canadian singer Sarah Buddy in October 2020, in conjunction with Record Store Day in Canada. The album will be distributed in Canada and the USA through Microforum.ca.
"Dark Shadows" and "Head Head", two singles from the album, are now available to stream online. Further tracks will be released digitally in the coming months.
Tracks are co-produced by Nick Coler, who has previously worked with Alice Cooper and Kylie Minogue.
Several tracks feature Malcolm ‘Molly’ Duncan on sax ( Average White Band - ‘Pick Up The Pieces’).
Sarah comes from Waterloo in Ontario, and her vocals were recorded in Studio A in Kitchener, Ontario.
Sarah comes from a very musical family, her mother being a singer/ songwriter and her father being a singer and a percussionist. Her brother John C. Malcolm is a performer in the Toronto, Ontario film and theatre scene. Sarah is also an artist, painting custom acrylic paintings.
